Last month, LG made an interesting choice when they announced two flagships at once in the form of the LG G8 ThinQ and the LG V50. If the former is of interest to you, then you’ll be pleased to learn that LG has announced and confirmed that the handset will be officially available for purchase on the 11th of April.
The handset will be priced starting at $819.99 and according to LG, there will also be introductory promotions which include up to $150 off the device for a limited time at launch, meaning that you might be able to get the phone for just under $700. These promotions will vary from carrier and retailer, so you will need to check with your carrier to see what kind of offer they might be running.
The pricing is actually a little confusing because previously, LG had stated that the LG G8 could be its cheapest flagship to date, but at $819.99, it does make it more expensive than the LG G7 which was priced at $750. Then again, perhaps with carrier and retailer discounts and promotions, it could end up much cheaper than that.
As a quick recap on the specs of the phone for those who missed the announcement, the LG G8 ThinQ will feature the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, come with a 6.1-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a dual 16MP + 12MP camera, a 3,500mAh battery, and also a sound-on display.
