If you’re shopping for a new smartwatch and you’ve loved what Samsung has been putting out so far, then you might have heard that the company could be working on a new smartwatch in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2. Now thanks to the folks at Android Headlines, they have managed to get their hands on the alleged renders of the phone, giving us a glimpse as to what we might be able to expect.
As per the previous rumors, it was suggested that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 could look similar to the first-gen model, and based on these renders, it looks like it could be true. The watch features a circular face with a couple of buttons on its side, but what’s notable is that it looks like Samsung will no longer be including the rotating bezel which was a feature of some of the company’s previous-gen smartwatches.
Unfortunately, these renders don’t really tell us what to expect in terms of features, but we had previously heard the rumors that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 could be borrowing some features from the Apple Watch. This includes an ECG monitoring feature that will be able to inform the wearer of any abnormalities in their heart rate. It is also rumored to include fall detection, a feature that Apple debuted in the Apple Watch Series 4.
Take it with a grain of salt, but we expect that Samsung will most likely take the wraps off the smartwatch at their Galaxy Note 10 event which is scheduled for the 7th of August.
