Earlier this year, Apple launched Apple Arcade in which for a monthly fee, users would be able to access a bunch of games. This is versus the current ala carte model in which gamers would have to pay for individual games. It looks like Google is interested in a similar model as well.
According to a report from Android Police, they have discovered that Google is currently testing a new service called Play Pass. This will be similar to Apple Arcade in which for a monthly fee of $4.99, subscribers will be able to access a variety of apps and games.

These apps and games will not contain any adds and will have their in-app purchases unlocked, meaning that you won’t need to worry about potentially overspending. According to Google:
“Explore a curated catalog spanning puzzle games to premium music apps and everything in between. From action hits to puzzles and fitness trackers, with Google Play Pass you unlock access to hundreds of premium apps and games without ads, download fees or in-app purchases.”
We should note that Play Pass is really new per se. Back in 2018, it was discovered that Google could have been working on such a service, and now it looks like it has finally in testing. Google has confirmed to Android Police that they are testing out the service, but it is unclear when it will be rolled out in earnest, if at all.
