When it comes to digital assistants, there are quite a few to choose from, but the question is, which is the best? That would be hard to say, but thanks to a series of tests done by the folks at Loup Ventures, it seems that they have come to the conclusion that Google Assistant is probably the smartest of the bunch.
According to the results of their testing, Loup Ventures found that in terms of understanding the query, Google Assistant managed to score 100%, and it also managed to score 92.9% in terms of queries answered correctly. This is versus Apple’s Siri which scored 99.8% in terms of understanding the query, and 83.1% when it came to answering it correctly.
Alexa was also unsurprisingly part of the list in which it scored 99.9% in terms of understanding the query, but it only scored 79.8% when it comes to answering it correctly. According to Loup Ventures, their testing involved asking the digital assistants 800 questions which are broken into five different categories: Local, Commerce, Navigation, Information, and Command. That being said, despite Alexa being in third place, it doesn’t mean that the digital assistant is a flop.
Based on their previous tests, Loup Ventures actually found that Alexa improved by 18 points over a 13-month period, whereas Google Assistant improved by 7% and Siri by 5%. This means that given time, there is a chance Alexa could catch up to Google Assistant.
