When it comes to tablets, there’s really no denying that Apple’s iPads are currently dominating the tablet scene. But if you’d rather not get into Apple’s ecosystem and prefer an Android alternative, Huawei could actually have something for you that they might announce in the next couple of weeks.
Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu has recently announced that they will be hosting an event on the 25th of November in which they will be announcing something new. Yu did not mention what they will be announcing, but based on the leaks, it has been speculated that the company will most likely be announcing the Huawei MatePad Pro.
The tablet has been leaked in the past, as you can see in the image above, where it seems that Huawei is borrowing some design elements from Apple’s iPad Pro. This comes in the form of flat edges around the sides of the tablet along with what appears to be a keyboard accessory and a stylus that is reminiscent of the Apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
The tablet is also expected to feature a hole-punch camera on the front of the tablet and a dual camera setup on the back. That being said, given that the Huawei Mate 30 series was launched without Google Play Services, we imagine that the MatePad Pro will most likely be given the same treatment, so that’s something to consider.
Either way, check back with us on the 25th of November where hopefully we’ll have more official details to share.
