This past week, Oneplus has gotten a lot of attention with the launch of the OnePlus 8 and the 8 Pro, but if you’re looking for a flagship-tier device on the cheap, the new Nubia RedMagic 5G is a better option!
Starting at just $579, the RedMagic 5G sports a Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 6.65″ AMOLED Display with the worlds first 144Hz refresh rate on a smartphone. Since the phone is built from the ground up for mobile gaming, it also features LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 storage, Active Liquid-Cooling with a built-in fan for incredible thermal management, remappable shoulder triggers, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and a 4500mAh battery so that you can play all day on a single charge.
Nubia has also upgraded the camera system when compared to last year’s RedMagic phones with the new 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor for its main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
The Nubia RedMagic 5G base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is selling for $579 which is $120 less than what the new OnePlus 8 is going for while the 12GB model with 256GB of storage is only $70 more expensive at $650.
