Now that many of us are stuck at home working or studying (for those who are still fortunate to have a job), it means that we are consuming more resources than we normally would had we gone into the office or gone to school. Mobile data is one of those resources and if you’re not on an unlimited plan, you might find yourself hitting that cap pretty fast.
In a bid to lend a helping hand, Verizon has announced that for the month of May, they will be giving its 4G LTE customers an extra 15GB of data on top of whatever they had before. This will apply to both consumers and small businesses who have 50 lines of less, and it will be applied from the 1st of May until the 31st of May.
Verizon notes that this 15GB of extra data will be added and no action will be needed on the customer’s part, so you don’t need to apply specifically for it as it will be added to your plan automatically. Verizon had previously done the same back in March and it looks like they will be continuing this offer for the month of May as well.
The carrier is not alone in trying to alleviate some of the issues and hardships experienced by its customers in the US. T-Mobile had also previously announced that they will be giving all of its customers unlimited data plans for the next 60 days. The major US carriers had also earlier announced that they will be waiving late charges and suspensions for those who might not be able to pay their phone bills on time.
