These are Honor’s new Android tablets

It probably goes without saying that these days when people think about tablets, Apple’s iPad comes to mind, but in case you don’t feel like paying the premium Apple tax, then you might be interested to learn that Honor has recently taken the wraps off a couple of new Android tablets that could be a bit more friendly on your wallet.

Starting with the Honor Pad X6, this is a tablet that sports a 9.7-inch display with a 1280×1080 resolution. Under the hood, we’re looking at the use of the Huawei Kirin 710A chipset, which could possibly be one of the last few Kirin-based chipsets we’ll be seeing in a while. The tablet will also come with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and will also feature a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

Next up, there is the Honor Pad 6. This is a slightly larger version of the Honor Pad X6 and will sport a 10.1-inch display with a higher 1920×1200 resolution. It will still be powered by the Kirin 710A chipset, but depending on your region, you might be able to get the model that comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The camera configuration is still the same as the Honor Pad X6.

While neither of these tablets might be considered a showstopper, their specs are basic enough where we imagine that they will be marketed more towards users who want an affordable tablet that will be good enough to get the job done.
