If the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 wasn’t to your liking and you were hoping that come 2021, Samsung might do something to improve on it, you might be in for a disappointment. This is according to a report from Reuters who claim that from what they’ve heard from their sources, the Note series might not survive beyond 2020.
It was initially reported that Samsung could end the Note lineup in 2022, and that 2021 would be the last model from the series, but this report is claiming that it could end much earlier than we thought.
We had previously reported that Samsung was apparently trying to phase the Note series out by bringing one of the phone’s key features, the S Pen, over to the Galaxy S21. The report claimed that Samsung has reportedly placed orders for digitizers that would allow the S Pen to work together with the Galaxy S21 that is due for a launch in January next year.
Samsung has declined to comment on the Reuters report, but this is not the first time we’re hearing about the potential discontinuation of the Note series, but if you were hoping to see one more model next year, this report could put a dampener on those plans. In the meantime, we have suggested that killing off the Note series might actually be one of Samsung’s better moves.
If this report is true, would you be disappointed if there will no longer be a new Note smartphone for 2021?
