It has recently been confirmed that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S21 on the 14th of January, 2021, which is the last day of CES 2021. This means that in terms of waiting, we have less than a month to go before all the official details are revealed, but thanks to a post by Evan Blass, we have an idea of what the phone could look like.
Blass has shared on his website an image that he claims is the official press render of the upcoming handset. The image he shared is for the front of the phone, which Blass notes that looks very similar to previously-released Samsung phones. It also confirms the continued existence of the hole-punch camera, which means that Samsung has yet to figure out how to put cameras under the display of its phones.
This is not the first time we’ve seen renders of the phone, but this is the so-called first official press render, and given Blass’ track record, it would not be a stretch to think that this is the real deal.
Samsung is expected to launch three models next year, with the regular Galaxy S21, the larger Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. All phones will feature slightly different display sizes, battery sizes, and camera setups, but otherwise they should all be powered by the same Exynos 2100 chipset or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, depending on your region.
