Orders for ZTE Axon 20 5G with its hidden selfie camera open on December 21

ZTE might not be a brand we might associate with when it comes to high-end smartphones, but the company has achieved what many others could not – a front-facing camera hidden under the display of the phone. This means that there is no notch, no hole-punch cutout, and no weird popup camera.

The good news is that if you were thinking about getting your hands on the device, you’ll be pleased to learn that ZTE has confirmed that orders for the handset will open on the 21st of December, 2020. The phone will be priced at €449/£419/$449 (depending on where you live) which is actually quite a decent price when you think about what you’ll be getting.

In case you missed out on our previous coverage, here’s a quick recap on the specs. The ZTE Axon 20 5G will come with a massive 6.92inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a front-facing camera hidden under its display. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G which will also come with support for 5G, making this handset one of the more affordable 5G smartphones on the market today.

We’re also looking at features like a quad-camera setup with 4K video recording at 60fps, HDR, and also a 4,220mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. The ZTE Axon 20 5G might not be the most powerful phone on the market, but these specs, features, and price certainly make it feel like a value for money purchase.
