By A lot of laptops are usually good enough to game on if you aren’t playing any particularly resource-intensive games, or don’t really care about cranking the graphic levels up to an 11. At the same time, we get it, some of you like to have the best of both worlds where you can stay mobile but still be able to play games at higher settings.
If you are in the market for a new gaming laptop, you’ll be excited to hear that Lenovo has several new gaming laptops that could be for you. These will all fall under Lenovo’s Legion gaming lineup and will consist of the Legion 7, Legion 5 Pro, Legion Slim 7, and the Legion 5, all of which will be powered by AMD’s Ryzen Mobile Processors and will also feature the use of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX laptop GPUs.
Lenovo Legion 7
This is Lenovo’s flagship gaming laptop. It will come with a 16-inch display with a 2560×1600 resolution and thin bezels to give it a more seamless look, plus it will also help keep the dimensions of the laptop smaller. Its display will also support NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology that will help prevent issues like screen tearing while you’re gaming.
There is also optional support for WiFi 6 Killer, and the laptop will also use Lenovo’s Coldfront 3.0 Vapor Chamber cooling technology.
Lenovo Legion Slim 7
The name of the laptop should pretty much give it away. This is a laptop that has been designed to be slimmer than your average gaming laptop, with Lenovo boasting that this is the thinnest and lightest gaming laptop in the company’s Legion history. It will feature a 4K 15.6-inch IPS display with a 60Hz refresh rate, but Lenovo will offer users the option to configure it with a 165Hz refresh rate at the expense of screen resolution which will be dropped to 1080p.
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro
Gaming on a laptop can produce a lot of heat, which in the long-term can affect efficiency and can also damage components if left running too hot for too long. If cooling is a concern of yours, then the Legion 5 Pro might be the laptop for you. Sporting a 16-inch display, the Legion 5 Pro comes with a quad-ventilation system and a larger thermal intake.
Its display also comes with a blazing fast 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time, and is brighter than its predecessor at 500 nits. Lenovo has also increased the size of the touchpad for better range of motion, although we imagine that most gamers will probably want to use an external mouse.
Lenovo Legion 5
Last but not least is the Legion 5. Offered in two sizes – 15-inches and 17-inches, this is one of the biggest gaming laptops of the Legion lineup. It will come with a Full HD resolution, which isn’t as high as the other models, but it will also offer a 144Hz refresh rate. It will use the same Coldfront 3.0 cooling technology as some of the other Legion models, and will also feature AI technology like Legion TrueStrike and Q-Control that’s supposed to enhance your gaming experience.
