Samsung One UI 4.0 beta delayed for the foreseeable future

0

While Google Pixel owners gear up for the final release of Android 12, Samsung Galaxy S21 owners have been awaiting the first One UI 4.0 beta release. Originally, Samsung had planned to begin rolling out the first beta release this week, but according to a post in the Samsung Members app (via Tizen Help), the plans have changed.

In the post, there is no specific reason provided as to why Samsung is delaying the One UI 4.0 beta program. Instead, the post only states that it is due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Additionally, there’s no information provided as to when we can expect the One UI 4.0 beta to begin making its way to users.

When the beta program was originally announced, Samsung confirmed that it would first be arriving on the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra. This is still likely the case, as Samsung only just released the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 and there’s a lot more going on when it comes to the software compared to the S21 line.

With the One UI 4.0 beta being pushed back in the company’s home country of South Korea, this likely also means the arrival in other countries has also been delayed. Unfortunately, for the time being, there’s no indication as to when the program will actually open. But let’s keep our fingers crossed that this is just a hiccup and not something indicative of a larger issue.
