Disney might have been a bit late to the streaming game where others such as Netflix have managed to establish themselves as the leader of the streaming scene. Luckily, Disney has a lot of well-known TV shows and movies under its belt, as well as owning various mega franchises like Star Wars and Marvel, just to name a few.
This allowed Disney+ to quickly gain a ton of subscribers in a short amount of time, and while they might not necessarily be the top of the pack at the moment, their momentum should be enough to give Netflix pause.
How to cancel Disney+
If you decided that maybe Disney+’s catalogue of TV shows and movies aren’t up your alley, thankfully like the majority of streaming services out there, you’re not locked into a contract. This means that whenever you want, you can always cancel your subscription and not suffer contract penalties.
All you need to make sure is that you cancel before the next billing cycle, otherwise you will be charged for the next month. If that happens, don’t worry, because even if you cancelled but you’re paid up for the month/year, you’ll still be able to access the service for the remainder of your billing cycle.
- Log into your Disney+ account
- Click your icon at the top right corner
- Select Account
- Look for Subscription and click on Disney+ (it will say monthly or yearly)
- Click “Cancel subscription”
- Select a reason for canceling your subscription
- Click “Continue to cancel” and you’re done
Like we said, there are no penalties involved in canceling your subscription, and if you change your mind, you just can easily resubscribe.
Disney+ is currently priced at $8 a month or if you want to save a bit of money, you can opt for the yearly option which is priced at $80, saving you $16 in the process.
