Nokia T20 is the company’s second tablet in a very long time

There is no denying that Apple is the king of tablets. Whenever people mention tablets, iPads usually come to mind. Save for Samsung, not many other Android device makers have bothered to put out new Android tablets, but it looks like Android tablet owners will now have a new option to choose from.

As promised by Nokia last month, the company has unveiled its brand new tablet in the form of the Nokia T20. This is essentially the company’s second tablet ever since they unveiled the N1 back in 2015, which means that about 5 years or so has passed since the launch.

Before you get too excited though, it doesn’t appear that the T20 will be challenging Apple for the throne. Priced at $250, it comes with some rather basic specs which will probably appeal to users on a budget and just need a tablet for a tablet’s sake, rather than a powerhouse to do video or photo editing on.

We’re talking about specs like a 10.4-inch 2K display, a Unisoc Tiger T610 chipset with 4GB of RAM, and what could be its key selling point, a massive 8,200mAh battery that will apparently last as long as 14 hours of regular use. It also has an IP52 rating so while it won’t survive a swim, it should survive a few drops of water here and there.

It will come with Android 11 preinstalled, but the good news is that the company has promised two planned OS upgrades, meaning that it’ll get Android 12 and 13, as well as three years of security updates. It is expected to be available on the 17th of November.
