Moto G Pure offers two-day battery life and expandable storage for $160
While we still wish that Motorola would surprise everyone with a new flagship contender, the company seems more than content placing its focus on the budget and mid-range segments. After unveiling the Motorola Edge 2021 in August, the company is back with another cheap Android phone that will be great for your grandparents or if you want to get a new phone for your kids.

There’s not much to write home about in the specs department, as the G Pure sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with your traditional 60Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is MediaTek’s Helio G25 chipset, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Considering how well Motorola does with optimizing its software for these budget phones, the company claims you’ll be able to get two days of usage thanks to the 4,000mAh cell.
If it does, in fact, last for two days, you’ll be happy because charging speeds on the G Pure are limited to just 10W. It’s really not all that surprising as Motorola doesn’t really try to push the envelope with these devices. But on the bright-side, you will get a 10W charging brick in the box in the event you don’t already have one lying around somewhere.
There are a total of three cameras packed into the G Pure, including a basic 5MP selfie lens. On the back, we have a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor that is only there for stuffing the spec-sheets.
Two reasons why you might actually consider picking up the Moto G Pure is the IP52 water and dust resistance, coupled with a “water-repellent design”. Plus, there’s a microSD card slot, so you can add up to a 512GB microSD card when the 32GB of onboard storage is inevitably filled up.
The Moto G Pure is available for pre-order starting today, and is priced at just $160. Starting on October 14, the device should be available from pretty much every major retailer from Amazon to Best Buy and Walmart, and of course, Motorola’s online storefront.
