Oppo Reno 4 Pro Review_7345

Oppo’s first foldable phone will be unveiled next week

Right now, it’s no secret that Samsung is absolutely demolishing the foldable phone space. While there are other companies like Royole, Huawei, and Motorola, it’s safe to say that none of them are pushing for foldables as hard as Samsung.

That being said, it seems that Samsung could soon be looking at new competition from Oppo. The company made a post on Weibo and Twitter in which they teased the launch of their very first foldable smartphone, the Oppo Find N. The handset is expected to be announced on the 15th of December, but apart from a launch date, not much else is known.

As it stands, we have no idea what it could look like or how much it could cost. Oppo has been known for creating value for money phones, so if the phone is affordable enough, it could help Oppo steal some of Samsung’s market share.

Previous rumors have suggested that the display of the phone could measure 7.8-inches to 8-inches when unfolded, have a 2K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, and it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It will also pack a 50MP camera on the back, a 32MP camera on the front, and will run on Android 11, which like we said before is a bit disappointing if true since Android 12 is already released and available.

If you’re looking for alternatives to Samsung’s foldables, then perhaps this could be one to look forward to, so check back with us next week for the details.
