While we’re still waiting on smartphone manufacturers to create batteries that will last us longer without having to increase its capacity, the next best thing would probably be fast charging. This lets us juice up our phones in a shorter period of time, so even if we need to recharge, it won’t take us as long to get it back to usable levels.
That being said, if you felt that the OnePlus 9 Pro’s charging was a bit slow, then you might be interested to learn that according to a post on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro could come with an 80W wired charging solution, making it 15W faster than the previous model.
Unfortunately as far as wireless charging is concerned, it is still at 50W, which is admittedly still heaps faster than a lot of other wireless charging solutions out there so it’s hard to complain.
The OnePlus 10 series is expected to arrive in the early part of 2022. According to the rumors, the handset will feature a 6.7-inch 1440p LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Other rumored features include a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, along with a 48MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP 3x telephoto camera. There is currently no date on when it will launch, but we should have more details soon enough.
