Honor, a brand that used to be a subsidiary of Huawei, has spun off and has been putting out Android phones. For those unfamiliar, this is a big deal because while under Huawei, the US Entity List ban applied to them which meant that Google Play Services was not allowed, but spinning it off helped turn things around for the company.
That being said, Honor is back with its latest smartphone in the form of the Honor X30. It’s not a flagship handset but a mid-ranger, so while it might not be the most impressive handset on paper, it does come with some pretty good value for money hardware and features that should satisfy the average consumer without breaking the bank.
We’re talking about hardware like the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset, a massive 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2388×1080 that also features a refresh rate of 120Hz. There is also an accompanying 48MP main camera on the back, a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a flash unit, all of which is arranged in a rather unique and eye-catching circular design.
The phone also features a 4,800mAh battery that supports 66W charging, which apparently will get it from 0% to 80% in a cool 30 minutes. The phone also packs 6-12GB of RAM, depending on the model you’ve chosen, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Honor X30 will be sold for around $235 for the base model, and $361 for the higher-end model.
