For years, Samsung has been steadily pumping out one Android phone after the other. The company has attempted to try and branch out of Android by launching Tizen handsets, but we all know how that went, but according to the latest rumors from @dohyun954, apparently Samsung could be considering dropping Android in the future.
Before you’re wondering if this decision could be Samsung’s way of saying goodbye to Google, that isn’t the case. If anything, it seems that Samsung and Google’s relationship is pretty solid to the point where Samsung could actually move away from Android in favor of Fuchsia.
Samsung: Hello Fuchsia! 👋
(Don't be too excited. It will take a few years for Samsung to adopt it.) https://t.co/LLwFqqS0Bu

For those unfamiliar, Fuchsia is a new open source OS that Google has been working on for years. It will be built from ground up, unlike Android which relies on a Linux kernel. Instead, Fuchsia is said to have been developed using a new code called Zircon.
The main difference is that Fuchsia won’t just be relegated to smartphones or tablets. Instead, it seems Google could actually be borrowing concepts from Samsung’s Tizen where it could be used to power a variety of smart products like phones, tablets, computers, home appliances, and more.
That being said, before you get too excited at seeing a Samsung Fuchsia smartphone, the tweet suggests that it could actually be a few years away from being adopted, so maybe take this one with a healthy dose of salt for now.
