Even after years of companies moving to near all-screen displays, there is one problem that many have yet to solve and that is the issue of the front-facing camera. As a result, almost all phones have a notch or a hole-punch cutout designed specifically for the selfie cam.
Some companies have attempted under-display cameras, like Samsung with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but even then, Samsung admitted that it wasn’t necessarily the best. But could that change with the Galaxy S23? A recent set of renders shared by Ice Universe on Twitter has shown off images of what the Galaxy S23 could look like if Samsung managed to install an in-display camera system.

We should point out that these renders aren’t necessarily leaks, but rather mockups of what the phone could look like if Samsung decided to redesign the phone and come up with a proper in-display camera. There haven’t really been any rumors suggesting that the Galaxy S23 could feature a proper under-display camera, but then again, it might be a bit too early to tell.
Like we said, Samsung isn’t the first to have attempted such a camera. Other companies like Xiaomi and ZTE have created phones with in-display cameras in the past, but we haven’t really heard much progress on that front since. In any case, what do you think? Are you digging this look as much as us?
