Samsung pretty much dominates the foldables space at the moment, so we can sort of understand the confusion if they see a foldable phone posted on social media that they might assume it’s theirs.
We’re not sure if that was the case here, but according to a report from 9to5Google, it looks like Samsung accidentally threw some praise their competitor’s way. According to the report, an Oppo/OnePlus PR executive posted a GIF of the Oppo Find N on Twitter, and Samsung responded to the tweet by calling it “pretty ah-mazing”.

It does feel weird that Samsung is so openly praising their competitors, but at the same time, it’s kind of heart-warming, isn’t it? We know that companies like Microsoft and Sony had competitors in the console space, but we’ve seen multiple occasions where the company execs have been publicly cordial and congratulatory with each other, so maybe that’s what Samsung is going for.
After all, if their competitors are helping draw attention to foldables, it could work out in Samsung’s favor as well. Plus, like we said earlier, Samsung is pretty much the king of foldables at the moment and with the market share they control when it comes to their phones, we suppose they can afford to be magnanimous with their praise, even if it is towards their rivals.
