Earlier this year, OnePlus made an interesting decision with its 2022 flagship phone. Instead of launching the base OnePlus 10 model, the company went straight for the OnePlus 10. But for those who don’t want to splurge on the OnePlus 10, don’t worry because it appears that more variants are in the works.
According to a tweet by leakster Yogesh Brar, it seems that OnePlus is working on two more variants of the phone which includes the base OnePlus 10 model and a OnePlus 10 Ultra model. Not much is known on the Ultra model, but Brar did share some alleged specs of the OnePlus 10.
There is a new device powered by Dimensity 9000 being readied for a limited release, likely the OnePlus 10 that I had pointed out a couple of months back.
This model is not dead afterall.Work on the 'Ultra' model is in full swing, might see it in the wild soon….

This includes how the phone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. This is an interesting choice because based on benchmarks we’ve seen, the Dimensity 9000 is quite a powerful chipset that seems to be on par with chipsets from Qualcomm, who is more or less the de facto chipset maker and supplier for the majority of Android handsets.
It is unclear when these OnePlus 10 variants are expected to be launched, but it looks like it could be quite a busy year for the company as we had recently heard that there could be a new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite that’s also in development.
