One of the things that Clubhouse does well compared to other social media platforms is that it isn’t quite as toxic compared to other platforms. This is largely due to the format where users need to use their real voices to speak to join conversations, thus making it a bit harder to say abusive or harassing things to other users.
But its strength is also its problem, where not all users might feel comfortable speaking with strangers online. That could change in the future because the company has told TechCrunch that they are testing out a new in-room gaming feature that’s designed to help users break the ice with each other.
Currently due to the fact that it is in testing, there is only one game available called “Wild Cards”. The game basically presents users with a series of questions designed to help spark a conversation and help users get to know each other better. These questions aren’t very serious so it could be a good way to help ease users into a room’s topic by easing them into the conversation.
The new in-room gaming feature is currently being tested on both iOS and Android devices, so if you’re a bit shy to speak in front of strangers online, hopefully this new feature will help make the process a bit less awkward.
