Sony’s next-gen gaming console PlayStation 5 (PS5) comes with the next-gen controller called DualSense. While it is primarily meant to be used with the PS5, it can also be used with other devices including Android smartphones and tablets.

This is beneficial when you are looking to take your mobile gaming experience to another level. It is needed specifically if you are interested in exploring cloud gaming services including Remote Play on PS5. It is a service that lets users play PS5 games remotely on phones. Connect the PS5 DualSense controller to an Android smartphone:

  1. Power on the PS5 DualSense controller.
  2. Press and hold the Share and PS button on the DualSense controller together until the blue light starts blinking. This signifies that the controller has entered the scanning mode.
  3. Swipe down on your Android device to access the quick settings panel and from there, tap the settings icon to visit system settings.
  4. Tap Bluetooth followed by the Pair a new device option.
  5. The controller should appear as Wireless Controller in the list of available devices.
  6. Tap the name and your Android phone will connect with the controller.

The Blue light on the controller will stop flashing and become static once a successful connection has been established. You can now start playing your favorite supported games on Android using the PS5 controller.

It goes without saying that not all DualSense features will work with your smartphone. Also, the compatibility level will vary from title to title.
