It appears that Samsung is taking its promise to provide monthly updates to its phones very seriously, as the company’s aging Galaxy S10 Lite becomes the latest handset to receive a new security update.
The new update comes with Samsung’s April 2022 security patch, which brings bug fixes and improvements to stability. The software update also addresses several security vulnerabilities on the handset.
In addition to releasing security patches for its older phones, Samsung has also been busy bringing over Android 12 and One UI 4.1 to some of its more recent devices like the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (4G), Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, and the Galaxy A71 5G, to name a few.
The company has also pledged to provide up to four years of Android OS upgrades and five years of software support for its latest phones, which include the Galaxy A53 and A33, which were both launched this April. It’s worth noting that Samsung’s recent updates have been mostly on-time, even beating out Google’s software updates for its Pixel devices.
The April 2022 update is currently available for users in Spain, and more regions will get the update in the following days. Users can check for the update by heading over to their “Settings” app, navigating to “Software Update” and then proceeding to download and install.
