Marshall’s claim to fame would be the company’s guitar/bass amplifiers. If you’re a fan of rock music, there’s a very good chance that you’ve seen them being used in concerts all over the world, and one of the popular things musicians love doing is stacking these speakers on top of each other.
This helps to create that famed wall of sound that makes rock music sound so epic on stage. Now it looks like Marshall is bringing that feature to its Bluetooth speakers, or rather its new Bluetooth portable speakers, the Willen and the Emberton II.
The Willen is a brand new model introduced to the lineup that will be the smallest Bluetooth speaker from Marshall to date. Its shape and size is reminiscent of other Bluetooth speakers like the JBL GO, except it does sport Marshall’s trademark look and design.
The Emberton II is the successor of the original Emberton and comes with an upgraded battery life from 20 hours to about 30 hours on a single charge. Both speakers will support Stack mode which basically lets you connect them to each other to increase the sound and also dynamics of the speaker and also create a multi-room effect.
Also, Marshall will finally be allowing both the Willen and Emberton II to work with the Marshall Bluetooth app, where users can now make further tweaks to the sound via the app, something that previously wasn’t available for the original Emberton. The Willen is priced at $120 while the Emberton II will go for $170, and both are available for pre-order now.
