Not all computers were created equally. There are some computers designed to just get the basics done, then there are some designed for enterprise, and then there are some created for gaming, and so on.
This is because different needs have different hardware requirements, so if you’re a creator that deals a lot with photo or video editing, then you might be interested to learn that Acer has unveiled a bunch of new ConceptD computers that might be right up your alley.
Starting with the ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro, these laptops will feature a 16-inch 3072×2400 display that uses an OLED panel, resulting in images that are more vibrant with deeper and richer blacks. Under the hood, users can configure it to run a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and equip it with as much as 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
The laptops will also come with a discrete GPU in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, making this quite a power house and could also be perfect for gaming. There will be up to 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage or up to 2TB of NVMe RAID 0 storage. There is support for DTS X:Ultra Audio and its 99.98-Wh lithium-polymer battery is said to last up to 11 hours when surfing the web, video playback, and streaming.
In case you’re more of a desktop user, Acer has also unveiled the ConceptD 500. This is a mini workstation that won’t take up too much space on your desk, plus it sports a somewhat aesthetically pleasing chassis so if you’re concerned about the look of your office, we reckon it should fit right in.
The ConceptD 500 will come with an Intel 12 Gen Core i9 processor and there will be several different GPU options to choose from, like the NVIDIA RTX A4000, NVIDIA RTX 3070, or the NVIDIA RTX 3060. It supports up to a whopping 128GB of DDR4 RAM, and it can also be configured to sport a 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 SSD.
If you’re keen on either computer, the Acer ConceptD 5 and 5 Pros will be available in June and September respectively and are priced starting at 2,399 EUR and 2,599 EUR. The ConceptD 500 mini desktop on the other hand will be launching in September starting at 1,199 EUR.
