Motorola teases the Razr 3 on social media

While many other companies are hopping on board the foldable display bandwagon with tablet-smartphone hybrids, Motorola went in a different direction by resurrecting a classic – the Razr, except that they equipped it with a full touchscreen display that can be folded in half.

Now if you’re looking forward to seeing what else Motorola can improve on from the previous models, it looks like the company has confirmed that the Razr 3 is in development by posting a teaser image of the upcoming handset on Weibo. As you can see in the image below, it shows the silhouette of a clamshell device and above it, a Qualcomm logo.

The image basically confirms that the upcoming Razr 3 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which was announced last week. Unfortunately, apart from the confirmation that a new Razr smartphone is in the works with a new Qualcomm chipset, not much else is known including a launch date.

We did hear a recent rumor about the Razr 3 and how it might feature a larger display, where Motorola could upgrade it from a 6.2-inch foldable to a 6.7-inch foldable, and the exterior display could also see a bump in size from 2.7-inches to 3-inches. Either way, hopefully we’ll have more details like a launch date soon, but in the meantime, who else is excited for the Razr 3? Or are you more interested in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4?
