When the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 was announced, there were rumors suggesting that there could be a Pro version in the works. Leaked images followed not too long after showing off a device that felt more like a smartwatch than a fitness tracker.
For those who are interested in the device, you’ll be pleased to learn that Xiaomi has officially announced the Mi Band 7 Pro alongside its brand new Xiaomi 12S smartphones.
From the design, it is clear that apart from sharing a similar name to the Mi Band 7, the Pro version looks nothing like its fitness tracking sibling. It looks more like a smartwatch and features a larger 1.64-inch AMOLED display, ditching the pill-shaped display used in the Mi Band series.
The device will also come with the usual features you might expect from a modern day wearable, such as heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking, and it also comes with a bunch of workout modes for you to choose from. In terms of pricing, the Mi Band 7 Pro is priced at CNY379, roughly $56.
This makes it around $20 more expensive than the Mi Band 7, but it’s still pretty crazy affordable at the end of the day. Right now it seems that it might only be available in China, but who knows, it could see a launch in international markets in the future.
