A while back, Nintendo announced that several new courses will be arriving to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via DLC expansions, which will feature beloved tracks from older games in the franchise, as well as brand-new tracks. As such, a recent announcement from the company has confirmed that one of the new tracks will also arrive on Mario Kart Tour, its mobile spin-off title.
More specifically, the new track is Sky-high Sundae, a dessert-themed course. Nintendo adds that the next wave of DLC courses will be released for its Switch title on August 4 – however, it’s unclear at the moment when the track will be available for the mobile spin-off.
In related news, there have also been reports that Mario Kart Tour might be headed to PC soon, although this has not been fully confirmed by an official statement from Nintendo. A report from Nintendo Life pointed out that datamined information from the game shows code that references possible “native emulation,” and added mouse support. Based on this, there is a slight possibility that Nintendo might release a Mario Kart Tour PC Port, as well as the game’s inclusion in the Google Play Games PC program.
In the meantime, Mario Kart fans will have to wait see if more DLC tracks make the transition from Switch to mobile in the future.
