Nothing Phone (1) Makes its Way to Japan

0

The debut of the Nothing Phone (1) has been nothing short of eventful (do pardon the pun), and the phone has certainly had its fair share of hype and fanfare, given its new and unique approach to hardware design. With that said, the phone has remained exclusive to certain markets, avoiding the United States in the process – more recently, the phone is now headed into the hands of Japanese consumers.

An online post from the company’s official Twitter page shows off several photos from the limited drop event in Tokyo Japan. The phone will go on sale starting on August 19, following several other markets that gained earlier access to the phone, including Europe and the United Kingdom.

Launched back in July, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G, a 6.5 OLED display, and a fully transparent back design, which features an LED-powered notification set-up, which Nothing refers to as the “Glyph Interface.” The phone also features a couple of 50-megapixel cameras at the back, with up to 256GB of internal storage, and 12GB of RAM.

Additionally, the phone comes pre-loaded with Android 12, which runs alongside a very minimalist skin called “Nothing OS.” The phone is the second product in Nothing’s device line-up, after the Ear (1) wireless earbuds.
