EKSA is a company that’s no stranger to gaming accessories, having produced and released a ton of different gear and peripherals designed to enhance your gaming experience. They’ve actually been around for more than a decade now, and have built a name for themselves within the gaming community. With that said, the brand has recently launched two new products in its portfolio, which are the EKSA Fenrir E7000 Gaming Headset, and the EM600 Gaming Mouse.
Today we have both products here with us, and we’re going to take a look at their specs and hardware features. Let’s get started!
EKSA Fenrir E7000
First up, we have the Fenrir E7000 headset. It’s got a design and look that you’d expect from a gaming-oriented accessory, with bold and sharp-looking corners, as well as a large and chunky-looking design. Despite appearing heavy though, it is fairly lightweight and does fit comfortably. You can even extend the headband to get a better fit overall. I’d have to say that my favorite aspect of the design is the LED lights installed in each earcup, which add a cool glowing effect to the headset.
Build quality on the headphones is good, and these should last you for a long time.
The E7000 comes with 50mm drivers, which make for a good listening experience. Of course, given the price, there are some limitations with regards to sound quality, but for gaming sessions, I felt that the headset was able to deliver a clear and balanced sound in general, with good-sounding bass tones that don’t get drowned out by highs and mids. It also features noise cancellation, which was pretty effective in blocking out most external sounds.
The 3.5mm jack on the headphones basically makes it compatible for a wide variety of devices and consoles, and even the built-in microphone comes with noise cancelling to ensure that people on the other end of the line only hear your voice. Additionally, the microphone is flexible to make sure that it always gets the best possible sound no matter what angle it’s in.
EKSA EM600
Up next we have the EKSA EM600 RGB gaming mouse. Upon unboxing it, the first thing I noticed about the mouse was its comfortable shape and size, and for someone like me with large hands, it had a great fit and feel. The mouse is also lightweight, and it was easy to use thanks to the plug-and-play set-up. Build quality feels sturdy though, and I was able to handle the mouse without any creaking and such.
It is customizable as well – in addition to the ergonomic design, the mouse also comes with RGB lighting, which comes with over a dozen different lighting modes. Additionally, there are eight programmable buttons that you can customize for different shortcuts and secondary functions, which can be customized and personalized using EKSA’s driver software.
One unique trait of the mouse is the built-in “Sniper button” that allows users to quickly adjust their DPI for better precision and targeting when playing FPS titles. The button is also located under the thumb for easy access during gaming. According to EKSA, the EM600 can switch between 500 to 6000 DPI in a matter of seconds with the switching system.
Final Thoughts
With an asking price of $35.99 for the Fenrir E7000 and $25.99 for the EM600, you’re getting good quality for not much cash. Both the headset and mouse are sturdy, come with a bunch of useful features, and simply work without any fuss or trouble involved with the set-up. Overall, I had a good experience using both products, and users looking for an affordable headset and mouse with a very gaming-oriented design and special features should definitely check these out.
