When Samsung first unveiled its curved display, the company was not shy about introducing it to their flagship phones. For a few years, the company’s flagship S-series and Note-series had displays with curved edges, but in recent years, they’ve started to flatten things out quite a bit.
Now according to a tweet by Ice Universe, the leakster claims that for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is launching in 2023, Samsung might go for an even flatter display. Right now, the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s display is pretty flat. It does curve ever so slightly along the edges, but it’s definitely a lot more flat compared to earlier models.
The biggest change of the S23 Ultra is the increase in the width of the middle frame, which means that the curved part of the glass will be reduced. pic.twitter.com/Gahw0MzL1D

If the report is true, the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s display could be even flatter than ever. In a way this is a good thing because the problem with phones with curved displays is that you can accidentally touch the display while you’re holding the phone and accidentally open an app or do something you weren’t intending.
Flat displays should prevent that from happening, plus it can also help create a more uniformed look. We’re not sure how noticeable this change could be, so we’ll just have to wait and see, so take this with a grain of salt for now.
