Every year, Samsung releases a new flagship smartphone, but not everyone upgrades annually. Some might wait 2 years, some might wait longer, and if you have been holding out on the upgrades in order to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S23, then you might be in for a disappointment.
This is because according to prolific leakster Ice Universe, they are claiming that the upgrades in the Galaxy S23 over its predecessors might be rather underwhelming. Samsung will apparently (and obviously) upgrade the chipset in the phones, but other than that, the leakster claims that that will be pretty much it.
The current information, S23/S23+, nothing has changed except the chip. Nothing has changed in the S23 Ultra except for the chip and screen and the main camera. Of course this is just a rough idea, I'll double-check the rest of the changes.

Ice Universe claims that for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, the main upgrade will be its chipset, and for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it will be the chipset and display and also the main camera, which we have been hearing could be bumped up to 200MP, but otherwise nothing particularly major.
Should we be surprised? In some ways, not really. The smartphone market is a mature one and the improvements we’ve seen have all kind of peaked, so any changes will be marginal at best. If you’re coming from a smartphone you’ve been holding onto for the past 5 years, then obviously this will be a massive upgrade, but for those upgrading from the Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S22, maybe not so much.
That being said, this is just a rumor for now so do take it with a grain of salt. Samsung will most likely be announcing the phones in the early part of 2023, so we have a few more months until we get all the official details.
