Earlier this year, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 12S smartphone. It was a very impressive handset given that it featured a 1-inch camera sensor from Sony, but now it looks like the company is back with a newer model in the form of the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro.
Starting with the Xiaomi 12T which is the base model, it features the use of MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 Ultra chipset and sports a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is support for HDR10+ and a resolution of 2712×1220. It also boasts a triple camera setup on the back with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera, with a 20MP selfie camera on the front.
As for the Xiaomi 12T Pro, the higher-end version of the series, it will be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset instead of a MediaTek chipset. The display size is the same as the base model with a 120Hz refresh rate, but on the camera side of things, it will feature a 200MP main camera made by Samsung. There is also an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 20MP front-facing shooter.
In terms of battery, both phones will pack a 5,000mAh battery and there is also support for Xiaomi’s Smart 120W HyperCharge charging technology that lets the phone charge from 0-100% in 19 minutes. If you’re keen on either handset, the Xiaomi 12T will be priced at 599 Euro, while the Xiaomi 12T Pro will go for 749 Euro.
