Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus could see a bump in battery life

Battery life on smartphones are still somewhat contentious. Many would love to see the return of the glory days of feature phones which could last for days on end, but we’re not quite there yet. In fact, we would settle for battery life that could at least comfortably last us until the end of the day and then maybe a little bit more.

The good news is that if the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus’ battery life aren’t up to your standards, you’ll be pleased to learn that its successors could be seeing an upgrade in the battery life department. This is according to a report from GalaxyClub.nl who claims that both models could see a bump in battery.

The Galaxy S22’s battery right now is 3,700mAh, but the report claims that it might see a 200mAh increase to 3,900mAh. The same treatment will be given to the Galaxy S23 Plus, where it will be bumped to 4,700mAh, up 200mAh from its predecessor. We’re not quite sure what this increase will translate to in real world usage, but bigger is always better in this case.

As for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the report claims that it might not see a battery upgrade and will instead maintain the same 5,000mAh battery from the Galaxy S22 Ultra. We suppose that’s not a bad thing, but we would love to see an upgrade all the same. Needless to say none of this can be confirmed yet, so do take it with a grain of salt for now.
