Recently, it was reported that Samsung had opened the One UI 5.0 beta for Galaxy Z Flip 3 users in the UK and South Korea. For those who own the Galaxy Z Fold 3, you’re in luck because it looks like the beta is now available stateside and if you’re keen, you’ll be able to take it for a spin.
All you need to do is download the Samsung Members app onto your phone, sign into the same Samsung account you’re using and you’ll be able to sign up to take part in it. Keep in mind that betas are usually for rooting out remaining bugs so it might not always be the best idea to use the beta as your daily driver, especially if you main the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
There are also times when apps might run into compatibility issues and there might also be changes that Samsung will make ahead of the final release, but if you’re curious and don’t mind tinkering a bit, then it could be worth taking a look.
Samsung has yet to confirm when the update will be released for the public. The company has confirmed that One UI 5.0 (which is based on Android 13) will be released for the Galaxy S22 later this month, but there was no mention about the company’s other phones.
We did hear from an earlier report that the Samsung could launch One UI 5.0 for its 2021 and 2022 flagships by the end of the year, so the launch of the public beta is certainly a good sign of things to come.
