Back in 2021, Google announced a new feature for Windows PCs in the form of Google Play Games. It basically provided gamers with access to Android games on their PC, so in a way you could think of it like being a limited version of the Play Store.
Google had initially launched the beta in a handful of regions, but for those living in the US, they were out of luck, at least until now. Google has since announced that Google Play Games for the PC is now available in more regions. This includes the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
This expands its availability from before which included South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, and Thailand. Gamers who wish to take part in the beta will need to have a PC that has an integrated GPU, a 4-core CPU, and 10GB of storage space at least. This is lower than before where Google required users to have a “gaming class” GPU, an 8-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 20GB of SSD storage.
So, if you’re keen on taking part in the beta, you can head on over to the Google Play Games website and sign up. At the moment there are over 85 titles that will be available so there should be something for everyone.
