Motorola’s most affordable smartwatch is now available stateside

If you’re looking for a decent smartwatch, these days you can expect to pay at least $200 or $250, going up to $350 or more if you opt for higher-end models. But if you don’t want to spend that much but still want all the health features you might expect from a smartwatch, then you’re in luck.

This is because Motorola has announced the availability of the Moto Watch 100 in the US. The watch is actually not made by Motorola per se, but rather the name was licensed out to a company called eBuyNow. The watch was also launched in 2021, and while it might be “old” by tech standards, its asking price of just $100 makes it very compelling.

The watch itself  comes with features like heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, and even fall detection. Given that some of these features can only be found in more expensive models, $90 is a downright steal. It also comes with sports tracking so you can monitor and track your physical activities.

It is also great for the elderly as it comes with daily health updates and emergency alerts, making it perfect if they live by themselves and not with their children. It also boasts two weeks of battery life, so you don’t have to worry about charging it daily. The only “downside” we see is that it runs Moto Watch OS instead of Wear OS.

For those who care about apps and want to access a larger app store, this might be an issue, but for those who want to use the watch as it is, we reckon this won’t be that big of a deal. If this sounds like something you might be interested it, it is available for purchase here.
