Last year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Buds Pro. If you like the company’s true wireless earbuds, then you might be interested to learn that OnePlus has since followed up with a newer model in the form of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 which was announced alongside the OnePlus 11 in China.
For the most part, the design of the earbuds hasn’t changed that much. It still retains the same two-tone design with the upper portion of the buds sporting a matte finish, while the lower portion near the stem has a shinier finish. It will be offered in two colors to match the OnePlus 11 and will feature a matching charging case.
As for the specs itself, the Buds Pro 2 will come with 6mm planar diaphragm drivers and will support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. They also offer up active noise cancellation that can drown out up to 48dB of noise, thanks to the triple microphones on each of the earbuds that should also contribute to better quality voice capture.
The earbuds will also support codecs such as AAC, SBC, and LC3, and LHDC 5.0. In terms of battery life, OnePlus claims that the earbuds will last up to 39 hours when used with their charging case. As for pricing, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will cost $130, but right now it is only available in China and hopefully the company will announce more availability in the future.
