Lenovo’s Tab Extreme pushes the boundaries on what a tablet is
If you want a tablet with a large display, your options right now are more or less either the Apple iPad Pro or one of Samsung’s newer Galaxy Tabs. But if you’re looking for an alternative brand, then maybe Lenovo could have something for you.
At CES 2023, Lenovo took the wraps off a brand new tablet in the form of the Lenovo Tab Extreme. This is possibly one of the biggest tablets we’ve seen to date with a display measuring in at 14.5-inches. Combine that with its detachable keyboard accessory and you’ve got yourself a laptop replacement with a screen big enough to get some work done.
The tablet also features Dolby Atmos supported JBL speakers, a bunch of microphones, and a 12,300mAh battery that has been advertised as providing up to 12 hours of battery life when it comes to video playback. There are also a set of cameras on the back consisting of a 13MP main and a 5MP secondary.
The Lenovo Tab Extreme is an Android tablet and comes with Android 13, but there is a Freestyle app that basically lets you mirror your Windows desktop onto it if you need a secondary display. In terms of pricing, it will be priced starting at $1,200 which is not cheap and you might be better off buying a laptop unless you really like the portability of a tablet.
