While Xiaomi was a bit late to the wearables game compared to other companies, the company managed to gain a lot of market share pretty quickly thanks to their Mi Band series of fitness bands. This is because these bands are incredibly cheap and do everything you would need from such a device.
That being said, if you are a fan of Xiaomi’s Mi Band series, you might be anticipating that company’s next release, the Mi Band 8, whose design has since been revealed by NRRA Korea, a regulatory agency over in South Korea, thanks to the folks at The Go Android who discovered it.
Based on what we can see in the photo, it seems that the overall design of the Mi Band 8 won’t be too different from its predecessor, the Mi Band 7. The main component itself still features an elongated design, but the main change that we can see are the bands. Previously, Xiaomi utilized a singular strap, but based on this photo, the Mi Band 8 will feature a two piece strap that can be detached from the body, which presumably should allow for more customization options.
As for its hardware, not much is known about the Mi Band 8 at the moment in terms of any potential spec upgrades or new software features, so we’ll have to wait and see when Xiaomi decides to officially announce its new wearable.
