One of the more unique features of Samsung’s smartwatches was the inclusion of a physical rotating bezel that allowed users to control and navigate their smartwatch without necessarily touching the screen. For some reason, Samsung decided to ditch that feature in last year’s Galaxy Watch 5 series.
If for whatever reason that was a deal breaker for you, then you might want to keep an eye out for this year’s Samsung smartwatch. This is because according to Korean YouTuber Super Roader, they claim that Samsung is expected to bring the rotating bezel back to the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro that is expected to launch later this year.
Unfortunately, it seems that this feature will only be available for the Pro variant of the watch, meaning that if you opt for the cheaper/regular model, you’ll have to live without the feature. This is a bit of a bummer because it means that die-hard fans of the bezel will now have to fork out money for the feature.
The upside is that apparently there will be two variants of the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro where it will be offered in two different sizes. This means that you could potentially opt for the smaller and cheaper model if you really want the rotating bezel. At this point in time there is no word on when the new smartwatch will be launching, but based on the launch of the Watch 5 series, it will probably be later in the year.
