A while back, Google finally released its March 2023 software update for Pixel devices the world over, bringing some cool new features to its flagship smartphone line. While the update itself was delayed (it usually drops within the first week of the month), a lot of users initially noticed that the update was not available for Pixel 6 series smartphones.
Google did eventually clarify that the March update would arrive at a later date for the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6a, and as such the software patch finally arrived on March 20. The update does come with some improvements to the software functionality on the Pixel 6.
Originally a feature that shipped with the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, faster Night Sight Photo processing has finally arrived for the older Pixel 6 series, arriving with some optimizations by way of Google’s Tensor chipset. Magic Eraser is now available as well for older Pixel devices, which lets users remove unwanted subjects in photographs. Also added is Google Health Connect, which allows users to store, incorporate and share the data from compatible health and fitness apps.
To see if your Pixel 6-series phone can download the new update, sumply head into your Settings app, and then select “System” to view the System Update menu.
