Google has finally released a new update for its Pixel Watch, which brings some new features to the company’s flagship smart wearable. A list of changes and features were listed by Google via a post on its official support page. As per the announcement:
“We have provided the monthly software update for March 2023. All supported Pixel Watch devices running Wear OS 3.5 will receive these software updates starting today. The rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device. Users will receive a notification once the OTA becomes available for their device. We encourage you to update to receive the latest software.”
The update comes with software version number RWDA.230114.008.R1 for global device variants, and RWDA.230114.008.J2 for Japan and Taiwan region devices. The updates include changes with the Digital Clock, which is now available with button press when the device is powered down, and the time will now appear upon crown push, alongside the red low battery indicator. Users can now also rotate the Crown to wake up the device. Other additions include optimizations to touch screen sensitivity, and support for single-tap Battery saver enabling and disabling.
