Without a doubt, Samsung is dominating the foldables market at the moment, and unsurprisingly so. The company has been quite aggressive in its push for foldables compared to other smartphone makers, but based on recently leaked specs shared on Weibo, Vivo’s upcoming foldable should give Samsung some cause for concern.
According to the leaked specs of the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2, the handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will feature the use of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. As for its display, the inner foldable display is said to measure 8.03-inches with an FHD+ resolution, a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The outer display is also said to measure 6.53-inches and will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate with a slightly lower peak brightness of 1,600 nits. What’s interesting about this phone is its charging speeds. The handset is said to support 120W charging in wired mode, and 50W in wireless mode that should help juice up its 4,800mAh battery in little to no time.
At the moment, Vivo hasn’t confirmed when the Vivo X Fold 2 will be launching, but based on these leaked presentation slides, we have a feeling that it could be coming pretty soon.
