Following the launch of the Nothing Phone (1) back in 2022, the company has since confirmed with a teaser image that the Nothing Phone (2) will be coming soon and that they will be officially making an announcement this coming summer.
At the moment there is nothing (pun not intended) known about the upcoming handset. The company did note that the handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset, but stopped short of confirming which chipset it will be.
There is a good chance it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is used in the majority of 2023’s flagships, but the lack of confirmation has us a bit worried. It is entirely possible that to cut costs, Nothing could turn to the use of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from 2022, but hopefully that won’t be the case.
The company also notes that the Nothing Phone (2) will be a more “premium” offering, whatever that means. Also, there is some good news for fans of the Nothing Phone in the US as the company has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be available for purchase stateside for the first time.
In any case, summer is still a month or so away, so we won’t have to wait too long to find out all the official details.
