The Nothing Phone (2) will have a bigger battery than its predecessor

One of the problems with our phones these days is battery life. For the most part, the majority of smartphones barely last more than a day, two days at most, which is kind of annoying because it means we have to keep charging it pretty much on a daily basis.

This is why whenever there is a new phone with a larger battery, it is a welcome upgrade. That will be something we can expect in the upcoming Nothing Phone (2). In an interview with Forbes, Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei revealed that the phone will be packing a 4,700mAh battery. This is a 200mAh increase over its predecessor, the Nothing Phone (1), which had a 4,500mAh battery.

That being said, 200mAh probably won’t mean too much in real world use. Keep in mind that the Nothing Phone (2) is packing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which will be a more powerful chipset than the Snapdragon 778+ 5G used in the previous model. While it is designed to be more energy efficient, the fact that it is more powerful could mean that any gains in battery could be offset by its power consumption.

Pei had also previously mentioned in the interview that the Nothing Phone (2) will be launching in July and that US availability will be included this time round.
