Motorola Razr+ camera test: the ultimate vlogging smartphone?

0
The new Motorola Razr+ (aka the Razr 40 Ultra around the globe) is the latest foldable smartphone from Motorola. While it comes with a flagship-level $1,000 sticker price, the phone’s camera hardware leaves a little to be desired.
Motorola has equipped the Razr+ with a 12Mp primary camera and 13MP ultrawide camera on the back, along with a 32MP selfie camera up front. While the sensors on the back of the phone aren’t particularly large, they do have the added benefit of the Razr+’s massive cover display that allows you to use the rear cameras for selfie photos and video so that you don’t have to rely on the even smaller sensor that’s used for the internal selfie camera.

But if you do find yourself in a situation where you have to rely on the selfie camera for video, Motorola has made sure that you’ll be able to capture 4k video at up to 60fps, something that’s still rare these days if you’re no buying a Samsung or Sample smartphone. Unfortunately, Motorola wasn’t able to give us the same treatment with the ultrawide camera on the back, which is limited to just 30fps while recording video.
To give you an idea of how the cameras on the Motorola Razr+ perform in everyday use, we’ve put together a detailed camera test with over 80 photo and video samples captured in a variety of different lighting conditions. Take a look at the video and photo gallery below and let us know what you think of the cameras on the Motorola Razr+.
